Frequently Asked Questions

1) Why Aluminum?

We use aluminum for most of our skid plates. Aluminum is a premium material, strong, light weight, and corrosion free.  Aluminum is about half the weight of its steel counterpart. This reduces the impact the plates have of your overall vehicle weight. Steel is more impact resistant but for that reason we use a thicker aluminum. At 3/16" thick and even 1/4" thick in some cases our parts are made to provide years of protection.

2) Why is the shipping cost so high?

Our skid plates provide maximum coverage. Big things cost money to ship no two ways about it…

3) How long will I have to wait on my order?

Most products ship in 1-2 business days. Custom Powder Coating may take 1-2 weeks. If we’re unable to fulfill your order for one reason or another you’ll be notified via email.

4) Is your product bolt on and does it come with hardware?

Our products are designed to fit your specific vehicle. If there is any additional fitment notes they can be found in the product descriptions.

5) Can I leave the skid plate on the vehicle during an oil change?

Yes, the plate can remain installed during an oil change. Engine oil filter oil must be directed out into the wheel well if the plate is left installed. It is best to remove the plate for engine and transmission inspection. Cleaning can be done at this time as dirt and debris can get trapped on top of the plate.

6) I have an up coming trip. Can you ship any faster?

Our default shipping method is GROUND. We are located in Penn. With a 2-5 ship time to the lower 48 states. If you need a part overnighted, please call and confirm it will go out that day.

7) Do you ship to Canada?

We do! You'll get taxed by the Canadian government and UPS also wants there cut.
