What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

I bought my current ridgeline after my first one (2006) was destroyed in a high speed collision and it kept me safe, I also greatly enjoyed my truck and what the platform had to offer. I daily drive my truck and occasionally do long distance trips. I also use my truck to do OHV Trails across many states and terrain.

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

I have the No-Lo Front skid plate and the rear differential skid plate

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

My front skid plate sees a ton of abuse against different types of obstacles and it never has let me down. it protects my vital components and I know i can rely on it to do its job. The peace of mind knowing I have these skid plates makes them invaluable to me. Without a doubt 100% worth every penny spent.

Are there any other No-lo designs products you are considering?

RotoPax Mount and Ditch light brackets

What do you like about working with us?

Fantastic people with great work ethic. You listen to the community and help make things happen. Ian is quick to try solving any issues and he knows his products well. Very well thought out designs with thorough research during the creation of the products. My biggest appreciation with NoLo is the feeling of community. Everyone is treated like family. I have 0 complaints or bad things to say.

What could we do to improve?

Expand your support to other models and don't forget to capture the market of people who have previous generation platforms as well as the new releases. There are incentives to both, however there are many more readily available older model cars that could use these products! I believe the Honda Element would be a great one to add since the community is huge. Try to get as many front skid plate applications as you can so you can cater to a larger audience.

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

I didn’t own a vehicle (12 years without one) when I registered for my first off-road competition. I did extensive research as I had a very limited budget and wanted to stay in the AWD category. The Honda Ridgeline Gen1 checked all the boxes. She is both my daily driver and my competition truck (Rebelle Rally 2023 and 2025). Between work and the rally, we do a ton of practice sessions and formal classes to never stop learning. In the fall of 2024 we did a month long road trip from Arizona over to Virginia and back again, with the best stop being the weekend of attending the AWD Fest in Uwharrie National Forest, NC.

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

I’m currently running No-Lo Designs front skid plate, front skid plate extension, gas tank skid plate, front tow hooks, and gear tray.

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

Front skid plate, rear differential skid plate, Rotopax Adventure Extender and ditch light bracket (this holds my external ODO, that reads in KM, on my passenger dash).

Are there any other No-lo designs products you are considering?

Would love to see a set of rock sliders and a trail suspension system for the Gen1 Ridgeline pretty please with dirt on top! Also a set of versatile mole panels to place as needed for holding my accessories such as shovel and extinguisher.

What do you like about working with us?

Customer service is top notch and shipping is quick. I never have to hesitate to ask any questions and get an honest answer. At the AWD Fest, you were so kind to look over my vehicle with me and review my questions or concerns hands on.

What could we do to improve?

Keep the forward thinking product development (and the small but mighty Gen1 community in mind).

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

I purchased my Ridgeline with the sole purpose of building a small overland vehicle that was mildly capable off-road but shined on the highway with its driving assists and great fuel economy. In 2024, I put nearly 50k miles on it driving all over the country. The fuel savings alone made it a great choice over any other mid-sized truck platform.

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

I’m currently running No-Lo Designs front skid plate, front skid plate extension, gas tank skid plate, front tow hooks, and gear tray.

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

The skid plates have saved my rig on countless occasions. Some areas were so lucky though. I’ll be picking up carrier bearing skid plates and a rear differential skid plate. If you do any off-roading in these Hondas, you NEED these!

What do you like about working with us?

All the No-Lo Designs have been awesome. When I first received and installed them, I wondered if their being aluminum was sufficient enough to handle any abuse. I’ve been running these for over a year now on some the most abusive trails across the country and I can say, without doubt, YES. They have handled every bump, scrap, and slam without a hiccup. I’ve had the vehicle high centered and teetering on the front skid plate, more times than I can count and it’s still in great shape. But, more importantly, NO DAMAGE TO MY TRUCK. On the other hand, my unprotected rear differential hasn’t been so lucky.

What could we do to improve?

The No-Lo Designs team has been excellent to work with from product ordering, to shipment, installation questions, and any problems after the fact. I appreciate the engineering that goes into every product and the top notch customer support.

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

Needed a good midsize work truck in 2021. At the time we had a 2004 Element, and a 2012 Odyssey..But we needed a truck. Had to have rear A/C for the dogs. Only other option at the time was the, Jeep Gladiator.. Always loved my Honda's over the years..and the Gen 2 refresh, 21 Ridgeline Sport was it for me! We work in dog rescue and this was the perfect truck for dog transport, and loading up with dog and cat food. Actually found all your products the very first time through the, OG Ridgeline store,( Thanks Randy!)

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

Full underbody! Yes, everything you make for underbody protection! All powder coated red!

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

Well, I currently only have the katana roof rack installed. But we absolutely love it. Building it by the included instructions makes it a breeze. The hardest part of the installation is getting the rack to set perfectly and even then it’s a simple process with the adjustment points built into it. There are holes pre drilled into the rack that can be used for additional accessories like grab handles or for tie down/tensioning points for awnings. The cut edges of the steel used is pretty on par for high end products and the powder coating adds to the overall great finish of the rack. It does a fantastic job of holding our James Baroud evo RTT nice and secure to the roof. Exactly what it was designed for.

Are there any other No-lo designs products you are considering?

I have the recovery plates, and ditch light brackets, just waiting to be installed.

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

Ohio hold multiple Honda factories. From cars to motorcycles and even the Powersports side. My home town was just a few miles away from two Honda testing grounds. So it was pretty common to see camo test cars out driving the streets. It was always exciting to see! From the age of 16 Iv owned and worked on Hondas so buying the Passport was a pretty easy decision. I wanted something that was family friendly and reliable. Something i could trust in -20° weather to get my family where they need to go safely and Hondas awd is far superior to others in the class so I have full faith my wife can get it herself out of trouble if need be! Yes this Passport is a daily driver for us but it gets used for all our other activities as well. From hunting and fishing to camping and car shows. It’s a great do it all family rig that is reliable enough to play hard on a trail and still get us home at the end of the day!

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

Katana roof rack

Center console molle panels

Mirror light brackets

Pretty much any product No-Lo makes for the Passport is a necessity. Front skid plate, fuel tank skid plate and a few future products are top of my list.

What do you like about working with us?

It’s refreshing to talk with a small business that is truly trying to be the best they can be for the community they are trying to serve. Being able to have small conversations about products or up coming products and share thoughts and questions really shows no-lo designs has the community’s best interests at the forefront of the business.

What could we do to improve?

All of my wants, needs and issues have been addressed and resolved through great conversations. But I believe there is a lot of people in this growing community we are in that have yet to find No-lo designs. This is made apparent to me from the 100s of questions Iv got on and off the internet. I’d love to see more presence in someway that fits the business model. Rather that’s short or long form videos or even small advertisements of some kind. Good businesses deserve good publicity for healthy growth.

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

I've been driving Hondas since 1998. Got my Ridgeline in 2021 and it has been used as a daily, as a winter tow vehicle for an ATV with plow for commercial snow removal, and for many off-road and overland adventures as well documented in my YT Channel.

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

All skid plates except "cat". Front, front extension, mid, gas tank, rear diff, carrier bearing x 2, front recovery hooks, ditch light brackets.

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

Light weight, good fit, durable enough.

Are there any other No-lo designs products you are considering?

Front skid plate for our 2019 Honda Passport. (I already ordered one, then I stuck it on my Ridgeline to replace that 3 year old beaten and battered plate.)

What do you like about working with us?

Ian is great to work with. He gets back to you in a very timely manner for product questions, logistics (I'm in Canada and I did my first order during Covid - Ian was super helpful), and after sales support. Also good installation support via YT channel.

What could we do to improve?

Parts could be better labelled when shipping multiple items together.

What led you to buying a Honda in the first place and what do you do with it?

I had the original 1st Gen 2007 Honda Pilot. We went camping a lot back then and needed a huge SUV to carry all the camping gears. 10 years later we traded it in for the 2018 Pilot. During the pandemic, everything was closed until we heard of "overlanding", and wanted to give a try to see if the Pilot can actually off road. The rest was history! It took me about 4 years to build the pilot to where it is now. A lot of trail and error since parts were limited to the Honda.

What No-lo designs products are you currently running?

I have the front tow hooks, ditch light brackets, front skid, mid skid, cat protector, carrier bearing skid, gas tank skid, and the rear diff skid plate.

What do you like about the No-Lo Designs products you're currently running?

The underbody armor has saved me countless time on my expeditions! I don't know how many times I've hit something where a loud bang is heard, but I am glade the skid plates were there!

Are there any other No-lo designs products you are considering?

I am thinking of getting the front skid plate extension and the side mirror light brackets. What I'm really looking forward to is the new suspension setup!

What do you like about working with us?

When I was looking for parts to build the pilot, there were not many out there until I found NoLo Design! The only one who was doing research and development to give Honda some underbody protection and a chance at tackling the off roading scene. Your parts are strong and solid. I've bang my skid plates so many times and it show no sign of breaking. Your business and communication is top notch!

What could we do to improve?

Nothing, you guys are already awesome! Please make more parts for the Honda, like a winch mount! :)
